A Joyous Time at Maker’s Mark Distillery

It is no secret that most people like to celebrate events and holidays with a drink in their hand. It’s also not a secret that most of those people that live in Kentucky prefer that drink to be a bourbon. According to Maker’s Mark “more bourbon is routinely sold this time of year than any other comparable time period on the calendar.” To commemorate this time of family and friends, Marker’s Mark is celebrating in many ways at its historic distillery.

While supplies last, there is a special holiday bottle that features a red label with gold maker's mark bourbon bottle that says Joy and festive ribbonfonts and is highlighted by a green trim. It is a .375-liter bottle and is only available at the distillery in Loretto, KY.

Maker’s Mark will also be hosting an Open House and Candlelight Tour held the first two Saturday’s in December (1st & 8th). They are self-guided tours and will take place between 5 pm and 8 pm. Those who are participating in this self-guided tour will receive “complimentary tastings and sweet treats”. The bar at Star Hill Provisions will be open for additional drinks to purchase.

The final event Maker’s Mark has in store is its Holiday-inspired dinners. They are the same days as the candlelight tour and renowned chef Newman Miller will showcase farm-to-table offerings. The dinner will include a three-course communal dinner with a paired cocktail. The two seating’s for that evening are 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm. This is a ticketed event.

Also, be sure to come a little early if you plan to attend either of these events. The gift shop will be open for most of the time during these events, but will be closed before the 7:30 dinner finishes. Great opportunity to grab that perfect gift for the Maker’s fan this holiday.
