Woodford Reserve creates virtual red carpet for the Kentucky Derby

The Kentucky Derby is usually filled with color, pageantry, and celebrities. But with no fans in the stands — and all the celebrity parties cancelled due to the pandemic — Woodford Reserve is creating a virtual version of the Red Carpet in Hollywood.

A one-hour event — “Derby Goes Hollywood” —  will livestream on Derby Day this Saturday and will feature guests including Julz Tocker (Dancing with the Stars), Erik Miles (VH1 Love and Listing) and celebrity mixologist Charity Johnston, among others. Viewers will peek into the celebrity homes to see how they celebrate the Greatest Two Minutes in Sports.

The event also benefits Mini-Therapy Horses, a non-profit charity in Los Angeles, where trained miniature horses visit and provide comfort to those in crisis. This volunteer-run charity exists solely on donations.

The Hollywood event will stream from 3 pm until 4 pm on September 5 (EST) on Woodford Reserve’s Facebook page, in addition to KNEKT.tv based in Los Angeles. The direct link will go live shortly before the broadcast.

Woodford Reserve is the presenting sponsor and official bourbon of The Kentucky Derby. Derby Goes Hollywood was curated and produced by Martin Vanegas Agency in Hollywood.
