When is National Bourbon Day 2019

National Bourbon Day is fast approaching and what better place to celebrate than the bourbon capital. What events are there? When is it?

National Bourbon Day is on June 14 and the people of the Kentucky Bourbon Festival have some events prepared to help lover’s of bourbon celebrate.

“The festival draws approximately 50,000 visitors from across the world to Bardstown, Kentucky each year,” says Kentucky Bourbon Festival Executive Director Jill Hawkins. “However, we feel as if the storied history of distilling America’s native spirit should be celebrated accordingly, and often, not just once a year! We’re excited for past festival patrons, as well as new friends within the industry, to experience these exciting upcoming events.”

There is a Stave & Thief Certified Bourbon Steward Training on Wednesday, June 12 from 6 pm until 9 pm. Facilitated by the Kentucky Bourbon Festival team, with curriculum developed by Moonshine University, event-goers will experience an in-depth educational session pertaining to the intricacies of bourbon.

There is a Bourbon Capital Mixed Drink Challenge on Thursday, June 13 at noon. A competition of mixology skills between distilleries, restaurants, and bars. The winner’s entry will be named the Official Cocktail of the 2019 Kentucky Bourbon Festival.

National Bourbon Day Bourbon County taste-off: glasses filled with bourbonLater that evening on June 13, the Magic Bourbon Dinner is at 5:30 pm. The evening will comprise a night of spellbinding entertainment, fine food, a private Bourbon museum tour, and premium spirit tastings on behalf of Heaven Hill Bourbon.

Then on Friday, June 14 starting at 10 am begins the big festival for National Bourbon Day. Attendees will be guided in their decision by partners from Barton 1792 Distillery. The experience is inclusive of transportation to Bottle & Bond Kitchen and Bar, lunch, as well as six souvenir bottles.

All events will take place in Bardstown, KY at the Kentucky Bourbon Festival Headquarters. The Kentucky Bourbon Festival will be held on September 18 through September 22.
