KDA President Eric Gregory said there were several factors into making this decision, including travel restrictions, consumer costs amid economic uncertainty, ongoing closures of distilleries and hospitality partners, CDC and social distancing guidelines, and more.

“This is not the call we wanted to make, but it is the responsible and appropriate decision under these circumstances with so much uncertainty on the horizon, especially with medical professionals warning that the situation could be worse in the fall,” Gregory said.

Originally launched in 2014, the Kentucky Bourbon Affair welcomes thousands of bourbon lovers and aficionados to visit the Commonwealth for a week of experiences, tastings, and culinary events.
