This release will mark the first bourbon developed fully grain-to-glass in Kentucky by African Americans and the limited first release will be sold in commemorative packaging to celebrate the achievement.

Sean and Tia Edwards, Kentucky natives and African American entrepreneurs, registered the company in 2017. They immediately began work on crafting unique bourbons, whiskeys and other spirits as well as opening a distillery.

In February 2020, the Kentucky Senate honored the couple and acknowledged The Fresh Bourbon Distilling Company as the first black-owned distillery in Kentucky.

“For nearly three years, we have been diligently developing an authentic and unique Bourbon and spirits line. We chose not to buy Bourbon from someone else and just place our name on a bottle. We have been very intentional and deliberate in crafting our spirits from the mash bills up,” says Sean Edwards.

The bourbon is crafted to have a rich and sweet flavor profile. This historic first release will have options for a celebratory commemorative package with their signature rocks glass and a branded shirt.

Pre-order will be available through September 30, 2020 on their website.
